Megan Metcalf
Megan is an artist based in Margate.
Known for her street life sketches and reportage style live illustrations, Megan's art is characterful and full of life. She loves to depict and celebrate the everyday things that may usually be overlooked.
Megan studied Textile Design at Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design. For over 12 years she was a Creative Research professional and Colour Material Designer. Since moving to Margate, she has spent time developing her art practice and she enjoys using a diverse range of mediums such as painting, illustration, textiles design, sculpture and videography.
She runs a live events illustration enterprise 'The House of Love Illustration' and is also involved with bringing workshops to people of all ages, exploring how art can have a meditative and therapeutic effect brining oneself into the moment without you even realising.
She is excited and passionate about having fun with her work and loves the idea of her Seagulls flying across interiors around the world.
